Michael Villar

Michael is a long time Capo Beach resident, a retired USMC helicopter pilot and commissioned officer, and is currently a Lean Director in the construction industry. He earned his undergraduate degree in Sociology from UCLA and his master's degree in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School. Michael and his wife Denise have been married for over 25 years and they have three children; two attend San Juan Hills High School and one is at Santa Clara University.

Michael is a native of Daly City CA, the youngest of 7 children in a family that emphasized faith, education, and athletics. For years Michael has been a mentor for the youth in our community. He served as an AYSO Region 87 soccer coach and board member for 10 seasons; and coached Dana Point Youth Baseball for 10 seasons and currently coaches a Select baseball team. He is active at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, where he ushers on Sundays and taught religious classes for 9 years.
