Street Maintenance
Streets and Traffic Signals
The Streets Maintenance Division is a division of the Public Works Department and is responsible for properly maintaining publicly owned streets and all associated right of way improvements. Said improvements include, but are not limited to, asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, curb and gutter, concrete hardscape, concrete cross-gutters, storm drains, diversion facilities, storm drain filters, and traffic signals. In addition to maintaining all of the infrastructure improvements on publicly owned streets and rights of way under the City’s control, this Division is responsible for street sweeping and monitoring needed maintenance in areas controlled by other agencies within the City.
The Streets Maintenance Division is also responsible to oversee or inspect permitted work in the City’s streets by developers, residents, contractors, and utility companies.

Asphalt Repairs Citywide
If you see a location that needs repair, please contact City of Dana Point Public Works & Engineering Services Department, Matt Sinacori at (949) 248-3597 or email Matt Sinacori so we can add the location to the list for repair.
Sidewalk Grinding/Concrete Repairs
The City is continuously identifying locations where hardscape has been raised along public walkways on both streets and in parks. As those locations are identified, a City contractor completes grinding and concrete repairs as needed. The City is currently marking repair locations citywide. If you see orange paint on a sidewalk, that is likely indicating a location where grinding is planned. If you have any questions or would like to report a location that needs attention, please contact City of Dana Point Public Works & Engineering Services Department, Matt Sinacori at (949) 248-3597 or email Matt Sinacori for more information.
